About Alison - Your Family Sleep Expert

The family sleep solution you've been dreaming of…

I help exhausted parents get their sleep and sanity back with custom sleep solutions for their little ones.

Helping parents with their family's sleep brings me so much joy. I feel honoured when you trust me to come into your family to support you with your sleep journey.

I love meeting new people and finding solutions to their problems. I know how important sleep is to children's health and development in the early years of life and how it can improve a family's overall dynamic.

My first daughter woke every 3-4 hours every single night until I taught her the wonders of a full night's sleep at 10 months. I needed my sleep for my sanity but, more importantly, for my health. I have Multiple Sclerosis, and sleep is one of the best ways to manage this complex disease. After sleep training,  we were both sleeping better, which meant we were happier and more energized for our adventures together.

My second daughter came into the world as a force to be reckoned with. I remember the sleepless nights when she was a newborn, trying to get the golden double nap (having both my girls under the age of 2 nap at the same time) and bottle night feeding her at 6 months while sitting in a chair next to her crib. Magically at 8 months old, my husband got her to sleep through the night while I was in the hospital for a few nights. It is amazing how our kids can adapt and learn when we give them the chance to do so.

We navigated all the normal changes to their sleep with both girls, including sleepless nights, nap transitions, night terrors,  early wake-ups, toddler bedtime battles, time changes, travel, and many more changes. The important thing I always remembered was this too will pass. Early bedtimes have continued to be my secret weapon for all these challenges.

I have had so many exhausted moms crying and not sure where to turn. I'm so grateful I get to help them navigate this part of motherhood.

After the arrival of my youngest, my passion for my career in Human Resources dwindled, and the calling to be home with them intensified. My husband was travelling a lot for work (3 weeks out of every monthit was crazy), so our goal was to create a little more consistency for our girls.

I remember after successfully teaching our eldest to sleep, I was often sharing my tips and tricks with other moms. It wasn't till I heard a Paediatric Sleep Consultant (a fellow Family Sleep Institute grad) speak that I had a moment when it dawned on me that I should become a sleep consultant. I have always wanted my own business, so I eagerly started my education with the Family Sleep Institute and graduated in March 2017.

Since starting Cheeky Sleeper, I have helped hundreds of families (just like you) improve their sleep.

I can't wait to share my love of sleep with you.
